My name is Paige Barnes. At age 18, my appendix ruptured in 2013. The doctors did the repair on that; I had a grapefruit size cyst on my right ovary as well. They removed that and it was determined that I possibly had PCOS.

In January 2017, I met Skyler Campbell, the love of my life, while we both worked at Walmart. By August, I felt weird and was in the early stages of pregnancy. I miscarried but didn’t think much about it.

By November 2021, I started seeing an OBGYN, since I wasn’t able to get pregnant again. He immediately sent me for lab work and both of us to a clinic in Irving, Texas for further test. Skyler got good results back but mine were not as good at all. The results showed that I had a cyst on my ovary and a wall in my uterus. I’ve had two different surgeries but still have not gotten pregnant.

In February 2024, I was referred back to the clinic in Irving. I have to be monitored and get sonograms to see if I have any follicles left on my only ovary. Then we wait and see when I will get more surgery done on my uterus.

That being said our cost for traveling four hours round trip for gas plus the cost that our insurance don’t cover, we will have a ton of fees to be able to become parents.
